The incredibly loved and undeniably talented Olivia Newton-John has passed away aged 73, following her on-going battle with cancer. The legendary performer, most famously known for her iconic role as ‘Sandy’ in Grease, alongside fellow co-star John Travolta who played her leading man ‘Danny’, has been a pivotal part of film and music history through her chart topping songs and memorable moments on screen.
Stockard Channing, who played ‘Rizzo’ in Grease alongside Olivia, shared ‘I don’t know if I’ve known a lovelier human being. Olivia was the essence of summer’, whilst Travolta signed his tribute that he shared on social media saying, ‘…Yours from the moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John’.
A woman of class, elegance, flare and talent – Olivia will be deeply missed, but will live on forever through her legendary and heart warming roles and appearances throughout her time with us.
