It is with great delight that music-lovers shall be able to convene this coming Saturday and Sunday at the Onwards Festival, spanning across multiple venues in Huddersfield Town Centre.
With a brand new music commission and an outstanding headliner act to close out the weekend, the festival is sure to provide an unparalleled musical experience for all who attend. At the Forest Venue Small Seeds, based in the centre of an ash tree, Thabo and the Huddersfield Ukrainian Singing Troupe will offer an extraordinary and immersive performance.
Questioning what may have happened if African and European tribes meet thus creating an atmosphere of ancient tradition and futuristic dreams, the audience will be presented a fusion of centuries old Ukrainian folk songs and ritual stories from Southern Africa. The closing act on Sunday is courtesy of the mind-boggling Mr Wilson’s Second Liners, who are sure to occupy the Parish in the evening with vintage raves, techno and club classics – providing an anarchic street carnival, full of colour and sound. We can’t wait for the exquisite temperature that only top-notch music can bring.
Until then, don’t forget to charge your phones to take advantage of the captivating atmosphere and the one-of-a-kind musical experience that the Onwards Festival provides. Make sure you don’t miss out!
