Brisbane based Australian rock four piece Winchester Revival have recently released their latest single Born For The Road which is available on all streaming platforms now. Taking influence from the likes of Motley Crue and Skid Row, this is a band that you surely won’t be skipping on if you have a love of Rock n Roll.
As soon as the record begins the track is hit with a distinctive and memorable guitar riff that almost takes more influences from the genre of blues. Blues has always been at the heart of rock and it’s refreshing to see a modern rock bad nod to this part of musical history. While the riff plays, the guitar uses heavy distortion and use of a wah pedal to create an atmospheric lead up to a clear and bright vocal.
The band is made up from four members who all have a love for their instruments like no others. Made up of vocalist Jackson, multi- instrumentalist Josh, Drummer Dane and guitarist Jack Dylan, these four lads are set on bringing Rock N Roll back.
‘We have been on a mission to get heard and to bring back real rock n roll to the world, it’s what the ‘Revival’ part stands for in our name, to revive rock n roll. It seems too many bands that were big 30+ years ago are flooding the scene and young up and coming bands like ourselves are being buried.’ – Jack Dylan
If you are a fan of Aerosmith or Guns N Roses, this will be a band that could give you a good dose of true Rock n Roll. To listen to Winchester Revivals latest release Born For The Road and add to your playlist, head to the links below.
