Surgeon to Songwriter! ‘Half of My Life’, the Debut Album by Tim Camrose

After having enjoyed a career in medicine for over 40 years, Tim Camrose has returned to his first passion in music. Having spent decades with his creativity bottled up, Tim has put together ‘Half of My Life’, a debut album that is rich in real life experiences and perspectives that are held together by fantastic music. Having been released in May earlier this year, ‘Half of My Life’ is out now!

Starting strongly, the album kicks off with the lead single, ‘This is Chicago’, a storytelling song about Camrose’s first time in Chicago as a young man, in a new city at a new chapter in his life. A brilliant start that gives the best of Camrose instantly, another track such as ‘Didn’t Say’ showcases this too – with fantastic lyrical ability on display, both tracks demonstrate a rawness in the lyrics he pens, writing about both personal feelings and lived experiences. Both tracks showcase a promising album, that contain lyrics that need to hear!

With such a strong start, it was easy to consider if the album had peaked early, and if the rest of the album would be as enjoyable as the start. However, songs such as ‘A Storm Coming’ and ‘Won’t Matter to Me’ show that Camrose easily kept up the same quality as the start, showing that Camrose has a command of several approaches that keep the ‘Half of My Life’ engaging and interesting.

A brilliant album throughout, Tim Camrose’s ‘Half of My Life’ is an unbelievable debut album that shows a versatility that is to be admired. Showcasing immense song writing and musical talent throughout that’s held together by wonderful vocals, you cannot afford to miss this. Released in May earlier this year, this album is out right now for you to dive right into!
