Yungblud (real name being Dominic Richard Harrison) has shared that he had spoken with rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who had told him to never apologise for anything. The 24-year-old alternative/indie sensation has always been one to think outside of the box with his controversial lyrics and vibrant wardrobe moments, however, it makes perfect sense why someone like Ozzy would be such a great artist for Yungblud to connect with.
73-year-old Ozzy Osbourne, best known for his role of the frontman in acclaimed rock band Black Sabbath, alongside his outlandish stunts of biting a bat’s head off on stage, partying at The Whitehouse and drink driving to the labour of his first child. Although whacky events, Ozzy has always been one thing above them all – incredibly entertaining.
With Yungblud being a current yet slightly more tamed version of Ozzy, his advice from the late rock star had meant a lot. He shared that he thought Ozzy was “a f****** beautiful artist”. whilst also admiring his intelligence and honesty. He shared that people assume that they should be afraid of Ozzy until they take the time to really sit and listen to what he has to say.
He continued to state that Ozzy’s advice to him was; “Never apologise for anything. They will understand you later. Time always tells’. This advice came about as Yungblud, during a show, had spit-sprayed beer into the audience and was shamed for it. This is when Ozzy stepped in with his advice and shared, “If you want to spit beer on the audience, do it, as long as you do it with love’.
